Birthday Prayer

Lord, thank You for another year of life. Bless the year ahead with health, joy, and Your peace. Amen.

God, today marks another year You have carried me through, the hard parts and the good ones both. I do not always feel like celebrating, but I am still here, and that is Your doing. Give me a clear picture of what You have already done in my life so far, and give me hope for what is still ahead. Heal what this past year left tender. Grow what it started. Thank You for every day of it, even the ones I would not choose again. Amen.

Father, thank You for my daughter and for the gift of watching her grow. Bless this new year of her life with confidence that does not depend on anyone's approval, friendships that are good for her, and a faith that becomes fully her own. Protect her heart from the comparisons this world hands young women, and remind her, today especially, how deeply she is loved by You and by me. Amen.

Lord, another year has been added to my son's life, and I am grateful for every bit of it. Build in him the kind of strength that is patient rather than loud, and the kind of courage that tells the truth even when it costs him something. Give him good friends, a clear sense of who he is in You, and the wisdom to walk away from what would harm him. Watch over him this year in ways I cannot. Amen.

God, I am grateful for my sister and for another year to walk alongside her. Bless her with the kind of joy that outlasts a hard season, and surround her with people who show up the way she has shown up for me. Wherever this new year takes her, go ahead of her into it. Amen.

Lord, today is my brother's birthday, and I want more for him this year than a happy one. Give him strength for whatever he is carrying that he has not said out loud, clarity for the decisions in front of him, and people in his corner who tell him the truth. Bless the work of his hands and the rest he needs after it. Amen.

Father, thank You for my husband and for another year of building a life with him. Renew his strength where this past year wore him down, and give him rest that actually restores him. Let it be more than a break from work. Deepen his faith and mine together, and let him feel, today of all days, how grateful I am for the man he has become. Amen.

Lord, my wife is celebrating another year today, and I do not want to let it pass with just a card. Thank You for her patience, her strength, and the way she loves our family even on the days it costs her the most. Give her joy this year that is fully her own. Let it be more than whatever is left over once everyone else's needs are met. Amen.

Heavenly Father, on this birthday we ask Your continued blessing through the intercession of Mary and all the saints. Grant strength of body, peace of mind, and growth in grace for the year ahead. May Your angels guard this life You have given, from this day until we meet You face to face. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, today we mark another year of a life You made and have carried since before it began. Thank You for every part of the year now behind, the parts worth celebrating and the parts that were simply survived. You were present in both. As this new year opens, we ask for Your blessing over it in full: health that holds up, work that has meaning, relationships that are steady and kind, and a faith that keeps deepening rather than staying where it started. Where this coming year will bring change, go ahead of it and prepare the way. Where it will bring difficulty neither of us can see yet, meet it there before it arrives. Give wisdom for the decisions this year will ask for, and patience for the ones that cannot be rushed. Let this be a year remembered for growth, a year that did more than pass by. We thank You for the gift of this life, and we ask You to keep writing a good story through it. Amen.
